The writing was great, the story intriguing, the subject matter more interesting than most. Kind of a letdown because of the great hooks at the beginning that, well, led nowhere. And very, very sad. Great look at the social conditions of the time, and the lifestyles of the Bohemian and amoral.
We all need love. It breaks my heart to meet a person who never gets any.
