How to Help a Grieving Friend by Stephanie Grace Whitson

Summary: Break down the barriers that separate you from your grieving friends and be a person who says the right thing at the right time. This quick read will help you know how to act and what to say around a grieving friend. Learn to:

• speak healing words instead of tired cliches
• comfort and emphasize with others
• break down barriers

My review: This is a really quick read--but it's also a good read. Whitson's prose is clean and real, and she expresses her emotions regarding her husband's death with, as her name suggests, Grace. Definitely a helpful read for those of us who've never lost someone extremely close to us, because the sad truth is, we'll all need these words sometime.
